The Secret Garden

Book summary Of The Secret Garden

After I read The Secret Garden, I paid attention to Mary. Mary is the main character of this book. On page 1 chapter 1 ”She was born in India who had a thin angry face and thin yellow hair. In fact, she was a very selfish, disagreeable, and bad-tempered little girl”. Before Mary  moved to Yorkshire she was always alone, but after she moved to her uncle’s house she had friends who were Martha, Ben, Dickon, and Colin. Before Mary met Martha she was selfish and bad-tempered, but after Mary met Martha she was kinder and kinder. Before Mary knew secret garden she was homekeeping, but after she knew secret garden she liked to go outside. Finally Mary, Mary’s family, Mary’s friends were very happy, healthy, and bright.
When I read this book, I felt that everything depended on the way I look at things. First Mary was unhappy, but she finally had a happy life. Also, Colin thought he had a fatal disease, but after he met Mary he was healthier and healthier. I like this book because this book gives hope and enlightenment. I hope that many people will read this book not only children, but also adults. Thank you for reading.

My experience in Kimcheon

I have climbed Mt.Hwangak with my friend. At first we were concerned whether we could climb the mountain because an elevation of the mountain was 1,111m and it was winter. When we began to climb the mountain the early stage of climbing was easy, but the higher we climbed, the harder it got. I have slipped twice and been very cold. Finally, we reached the mountain top. The view there was wonderful. My hometown has been covered with snow and we have seen the entire city below. During climbing , I have forgotten worldly thoughts. I thought that climbing the mountain was well for my body and soul. I love my hometown because of those experiences.

My Hometown is........

Hello, my name is Oh Junkyu and I’m from Kimcheon in Kimcheon there are many things to do. Let me introduce my hometown. First, I introduce Mt.Hwangak and Jikjisa. Mt.Hwangak is very famous mountain in Kimcheon.”It has an elevation of 1,111m” (wilkipedia.org). The mountain is very beautiful in spring because of cherry blossoms and in fall because of autumn leaves. It is difficult to climb the mountain in winter because the mountain is very slippery and cold. Jikjisa is temple in Mt.Hwangak. Jikjisa is one of 25 main buddhist temple, and you can do a temple stay. There you can learn traditional skills, tea ceremony and patience. In front of Jikjisa entrance, there are many restaurants. The most popular menus are wild vegetable bibimbap and set menu with seasoned wild vegetables. If you have a chance, you should go to Kimcheon. If so, then I will guide you.
